Experts found an excess of antibiotics of the tetracycline group, in particular, oxytetracycline, in two samples. The content of oxytetracycline was 11.9 micrograms per kilogram in the chicken carcass sample and over 1000 micrograms per kilogram in the beef meat sample.

“In accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 021/2011 “On Food Safety”, the content of veterinary preparations should not exceed a microgram per kilogram,” the agency noted.

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance has introduced a regime of enhanced laboratory control in relation to the Kazakh poultry meat producer. In case of repeated detection of antibiotics in excess of the permissible norms, the enterprise will temporarily restrict the right to import products.

Omsk beef producer was warned by the territorial administration and ordered to eliminate factors that contribute to the production of low-quality and unsafe products.
