The Semikarakorsk Poultry Processing Plant implemented a program covering the entire process — from receiving raw materials to shipping finished products. The main goal of the project was to identify and reduce losses at each stage of production. The company's employees were trained in lean manufacturing methods under the guidance of experts from the Regional Competence Center.
During the diagnostics, it was possible to identify more than 20 critical problems, such as inefficient movements, underloading of equipment and frequent stops. The director of the enterprise Vladimir Volchenkov noted that innovative solutions were found, including a new divider for sorting poultry, which speeds up packaging.
In addition, standards for operational procedures have been developed at the production facility and a monitoring system has been implemented to track changes in the production process. The results of the work have demonstrated a 15% reduction in process execution time and a 17.6% reduction in work in progress.
In the next 2.5 years, specialists will continue to implement ideas within the project office. The national project "Labor Productivity", which has been implemented in the Rostov Region since 2019, remains in demand among enterprises that intend to continue to apply the principles of lean production and achieve sustainable growth. Next year, the project will become part of the larger national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
