The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation expects full self-sufficiency in chicken food eggs in 2021
The Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA held a meeting with egg producers, during which the current situation in the food market and pricing issues for these products were considered.
The event was attended by First Deputy Minister Dzhambulat Khatuov, Deputy Minister Oksana Lut, representatives of regional agricultural authorities, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR , industry community.
Currently, according to the regions, egg production in the country has stabilized and in January-February 2021 amounted to 5.8 billion eggs.
The leaders in this area are the Leningrad, Tula, Kirov, Ivanovo, Orenburg regions and a number of other regions.
According to Dzhambulat Khatuov, over the past few years, Russia has been fully self-sufficient in edible chicken eggs, and this indicator is expected to be met this year as well.
As Oksana Lut noted, in order to prevent an unreasonable increase in the wholesale cost of products and keep it at an affordable level, the ministry continues to work with industry associations and large manufacturers. New support mechanisms will also contribute to this.
Thus, from April 3, the maximum limit on preferential short-term loans for enterprises in the industry will increase from 1 to 1.5 billion rubles per borrower.
Since March 27, the period of preferential investment loans has been extended to 12 years for producers affected by bird flu.
Measures to regulate the grain and oilseeds market are aimed at developing the industry and reducing the cost of poultry production.
