The prosecutor's office is seeking to recover almost 3 billion rubles from a Novosibirsk pig farm

During the inspection, it was calculated that the damage caused to the soils amounted to 1.78 billion rubles, while the damage to the water body was estimated at 1.13 billion rubles. Despite the directed demands for compensation for damage,The pig farm has not yet taken any action to compensate for it.

In November 2024 , the Kolyvan District Court found Vladimir Gavrilenko, former director of Kudryashovskoye JSC, guilty of damage to forest plantations. He was initially charged under several articles of the criminal code, but the case was closed under two of them due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. The investigation established that in 2022, Gavrilenko gave instructions for the discharge of wastewater and livestock waste into a tributary of the Amba River, which led to significant environmental pollution and loss of flora. Kudryashovskoye JSC is the largest pig farm in the Novosibirsk Region, producing more than 93% of pork in the region.
