Sheep and goat meat production in the Moscow region increased by more than 10% in the first 9 months of 2024

Over three quarters, 515.9 tons of meat from sheep and goats prepared for slaughter were produced in the region. The largest amount of products was provided by Troparevo CJSC, located in the Mozhaisk urban district, which sold 149.5 tons of products and more than 1.2 thousand heads of breeding young animals. This enterprise has the status of a breeding reproducer of the first domestic breed of sheep - Kuibyshev, known for its high meat productivity. For example, the weight of six-month-old lambs can reach from 40 to 60 kg.
