Poultry factories and chicken MEAT processing enterprises will receive a billion rubles from the federal budget.
The government explained that they set the task of balancing supply and demand in this market, as well as maintaining affordable prices for chicken meat and meat products for the population.
The money allocated by the Cabinet will be used to ensure that agribusinesses engaged in the production of chicken meat can attract larger short-term loans at a preferential rate. “We hope that such measures will help,” commented Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The authorities will allocate over a billion more rubles for the development of the fishing and processing industries. With this money, eight scientific expeditions will be organized, as well as the ships participating in them, including the Sedov and Kruzenshtern sailboats, will be repaired.

One of the factors that influence the rise in the price of chicken meat and eggs in RUSSIA is the shortage of hatching eggs. At the end of last year, in many European countries that supply our country with hatching eggs, bird flu occurred at poultry farms. As a result, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR restricted the import of poultry products from Germany, Sweden, Croatia, Belgium, Poland, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Denmark, the Netherlands, France and Lithuania. And imports of goods necessary for poultry farms decreased by 25 percent. The Ministry of Agriculture said that this situation was a lesson, and promised that by 2025 they would localize production and reduce imports of hatching eggs by up to 10 percent.
