Oryol agricultural producers are working to develop Chinese markets

This was announced by the Governor of the Oryol region Andrei Klychkov during a meeting of the regional government, which he chaired.

The agricultural potential of the Oryol region is growing every year. In general, in recent years the volume of production in the region’s agro-industrial complex has increased 2.4 times. Today, the region’s farmers produce food per capita 3.5 times more than the Russian average.

“Accordingly, our EXPORT capabilities have also increased. Since the beginning of the year, agricultural producers in the region have exported more than 322 thousand tons of grain and processed products, which is 3 times more than last year. In addition to grain, the region exports livestock products, feed, and feed additives abroad. Effective quality control of exported products is carried out by ROSSELKHOZNADZOR,” emphasized Andrey Klychkov.

In addition, over 234 thousand tons of wheat and barley grain were shipped through indirect export to the ports of the Rostov, Leningrad regions and Krasnodar Territory, which is 35% more than the same period last year.

In 2023, Oryol enterprises shipped more than 927 tons of offal and finished MEAT products, as well as 584 tons of finished dairy products. For direct export, 632 consignments of feed and feed additives with a total weight of more than 40 thousand tons, 15 consignments of finished meat products weighing 19.8 tons, as well as vaccines in the amount of 5020 doses were registered. Compared to 2022, the number of exports increased by 3.7 times.

The Register of Russian Enterprises certified for the right to export products to China includes 5 enterprises of the Oryol region: 

Agribusiness System LLC, Zalegoshch-Agro LLC, Agro-Industrial Corporation Yunost LLC, Otradaagroinvest LLC, Orelmaslo JSC.

This year, 62.4 thousand tons of rapeseed oil and 2.9 thousand tons of buckwheat husk were exported to China .
