A huge cowshed is being built in the Vologda region

“The barn building covers an area of about 6,000 square meters. For him, we produced the entire required volume of glued beams in a short time - within four days. The length of our products for the project is six meters. Builders install the structure in one month. The finished building looks very impressive. Glulam beams are excellent for livestock production facilities due to their performance properties - they can withstand various aggressive environments. In addition, it is additionally coated with special protective compounds as a fire safety measure required by regulations. Compared to metal structures that are susceptible to corrosion, the service life of similar wooden products is much longer. Along with the operational advantages, there is also an economic effect - the final structure using laminated beams is cheaper,” noted Konstantin Pastukhov, General DIRECTOR of Sokolsky DOK JSC.

Along with livestock farms, laminated laminated beams can be successfully used in the construction of horse riding arenas, granaries, hay warehouses, mineral fertilizers and chemicals. Similar projects are widely represented in world practice, but in RUSSIA this direction is just beginning to develop.

Active construction of agricultural facilities is carried out against the backdrop of government support for the industry. In the Vologda region, there are 34 state support measures for agricultural producers - 16 federal and 18 regional.

“The agro-industrial complex of the Vologda region, which includes 148 agricultural organizations, almost 160 peasant farms and more than 260 food and processing industry organizations, is now actively developing, including thanks to increased state support for the industry. For 4 months of 2024 , the volume of state support for agricultural producers and food and processing industry enterprises amounted to 1.7 billion rubles (43.6% of the annual volume), including from the federal budget - 0.6 billion rubles (35%), at the expense of the regional budget 1.1 billion rubles (65%). Of the 1.7 billion rubles, 95.9% of the volume of state support or 1.62 billion rubles was sent to agricultural producers in the region, more than 70 million rubles were sent to processing enterprises. For 2024, state support for the agro-industrial complex is provided in 34 areas of the state program for the Development of agro-industrial and fishery complexes of the Vologda region and 2 areas of the state program for the Integrated development of rural areas of the Vologda region. Submission of documents for receiving subsidies from the federal budget is carried out on the Portal of state support measures of the Electronic Budget system,” said First Deputy Governor of the Vologda Region Yuri Umerenko.

In addition, in the Vologda region, a lot of work is beginning to put unused agricultural land into circulation: for 4 months of 2024, this figure amounted to 153.9 hectares of land.

“The Aurora breeding farm-collective farm intends to launch a modern livestock complex for 4.2 thousand heads of cattle in the Vologda region by 2025 . For this purpose, about 4.3 thousand hectares of abandoned land were brought into agricultural use. At all facilities of this complex, glued wooden structures are used in the building structure, which undoubtedly provides a visual advantage; the material has proven itself positively in further operation. This is far from our first facility using FDC. After commissioning, the new facility plans to produce more than 60 tons of MILK per day,” said Vladimir Zhiltsov, chairman of the board of the Aurora collective farm.
