The State Duma is considering amendments to the budget law aimed at expanding funding for state programs supporting agriculture . In 2024 , the support amounted to 530 billion rubles, but new initiatives propose both increasing this amount and increasing the use of preferential lending.

Preferential lending has proven to be one of the most effective tools for supporting producers. Last year, the government allocated additional funds, increasing support to a record 330 billion rubles and concluding loan agreements totaling over 1 trillion rubles. These measures have had a positive impact on the development of the agricultural sector.

The minister also noted that an increase in cultivated area by 1 million hectares is expected, enabling farmers to expect higher yields. However, some regions, such as the Rostov Region and Krasnodar Krai, are experiencing unfavorable weather conditions that could negatively impact crop yields. Despite this, the government continues to develop and implement new support mechanisms for farmers, which is a cornerstone of sustainable agricultural development in Russia.
