"The systemic state support that the government will continue to provide to this sector of the economy [the agro-industrial complex] has made it possible to guarantee the country's food security. We fully provide ourselves with grain, vegetable oil, sugar, meat, and fish, even more than planned," said the head of the Cabinet.

Year after year, the production of milk , potatoes, fruits, berries, and seeds of domestic selection is growing, he added. "We have once again repeated the record for vegetables in closed ground, that is, in greenhouses, which means an increase in the reliability of supplying consumers with essential products all year round, including in hard-to-reach areas," Mishustin also noted.

According to him, there is also an increase in capacity - more hectares of agricultural land are being sown annually, crop yields are increasing, and machinery and equipment are being updated.

"It is important that deep grain processing is being expanded in Russia, as well as the production of additives needed for the food industry and livestock farming," the Prime Minister noted, among other things.
