“We had an increase in eggs in 2023 – 1.2% higher than the level of 2022 – that’s 46.6 billion pieces. We are also planning growth for this year. We see a number of good projects for existing poultry farms, we will add about 51 poultry farms, where we are now working on preferential loans, long-term loans so that they can add egg production . As for poultry farming, we are also with a plus here. In this area, we also have several new investment projects, and we plan that in 2024 we will come out with a plus – we definitely plan to exceed by 2%,” TASS broadcasts the words of Maxim Uvaidov.
The Deputy Minister noted that one of the priority areas is the active work of domestic producers to produce hatching eggs. The main task now is to reduce import dependence on breeding products. Thus, a domestic cross of MEAT chickens “Smena 9” was created, which in 2020 was registered in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use. According to Maxim Uvaidov, they began to raise more chickens from the parent flock of the new cross due to the construction of new poultry houses.
