Malaysia: beef consumption 200 thousand tons per year

Currently, Malaysia's beef cattle production is less than 20%, equivalent to 47 thousand tons. To achieve the country's self-sufficiency in MEAT, there is still a long way to go. The Minister stressed the importance of his ministry collaborating with various departments such as the Department of Veterinary Services to drive innovation in beef production.

One of the key areas of development is the use of high-quality genetics and modern technologies in the production process. These innovations will satisfy up to 50% of the country's beef demand. The introduction of new methods and technologies will not only improve production performance, but also improve product quality and ensure a stable supply in the market.

Thus, Malaysia has an important goal to achieve food security through increasing meat production. The joint efforts of the government, agricultural departments and the use of advanced technologies will allow the country to achieve self-sufficiency in beef production and ensure sustainable development of agriculture.
