The expert predicted a shortage and rise in price of pork in Russia

Mass slaughter of pigs is now taking place in Russia due to a lack of imported feed and additives, said Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alexander Ishevsky.

Ishevsky believes that "the period of release to the market of turnaround pork" has come, so prices for it are relatively stable. But, the expert added, after slaughtering part of the livestock, the cost of this meat could double.

“We must prepare for the fact that meat will not become a product of everyday use,” he stressed.

And one of the main problems is that import substitution of feed and additives has not developed.

To what extent does Crimea provide itself with meat?

With a rise in the price of pork, Ishevsky recommends including other sources of protein in the diet - for example, fish. However, it is “by no means more affordable” at a price. So, to save money, you can buy homemade semi-finished products - cutlets, in which part of the mass is bread, onions and chicken eggs.

“The body has enough protein that it will receive in them. And the portion size will become larger, ”summed up the professor.
