"Damate" will build in the Penza region 2 poultry units with a capacity of 24.3 thousand tons of turkey in live weight per year

Naum Babaev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Damate Group of Companies, met with Oleg Melnichenko, Governor of the Penza Region . During the working meeting, strategic issues of the development of the project for the production of turkeys in the region were discussed.

N. Babaev noted that "Damate" continues its active development in the Penza region. In 2022, the Damate group of companies confirmed its status as the largest agricultural taxpayer in the region by transferring more than 2 billion rubles in taxes to the regional and local budgets, and 6.5 thousand people were employed at the company's enterprises.

During the meeting, N. Babaev announced plans to build two new poultry blocks in the Penza region worth 6.9 billion rubles. They will be located in Bolshaya Yelan, Penza region, and include poultry houses for rearing and fattening turkeys. Construction is scheduled to start in September 2023.

O. Melnichenko positively assessed the investment activity of the company and the positive dynamics of development in the region, noting that Damate has been a strategic partner of the Penza region for many years.

“In many ways, the volumes of agricultural production that we have today have been achieved, including through the work of the Damate group of companies. I am ready to consider all promising issues,” Oleg Melnichenko said.

The Governor of the Penza Region supported the start of the project for the construction of new poultry houses and discussed the conditions for further provision of state support measures to the agricultural holding. In particular, they talked about compensation for the costs of technological equipment, the construction of engineering and transport infrastructure facilities for the company's new production sites, the creation of treatment facilities, social facilities for residential areas of the Nizhnelomovsky District.

It includes a full production cycle: 2 incubators, rearing and fattening poultry houses, 2 elevators, 4 feed mills, a high-tech turkey slaughter and processing plant, the largest turkey deep processing plant in Europe.
