The Chuvash Republic has become the leader in the Volga Federal District in terms of growth rates of butter and beef production.

According to the Chuvash branch of the Agroanalytics Center, the maximum growth was achieved in the production of butter - 2.4 times, up to 3 thousand tons, beef - 2.0 times, up to 2.4 thousand tons, semi-finished MEAT products - +28.5%, up to 4.7 thousand tons, pork - +26.6%, up to 2.5 thousand tons, chocolate and SUGAR confectionery - +23.5%, up to 14.0 thousand tons, cottage cheese - +8.5%, up to 4.3 thousand tons, vegetable oils - +3.5%, up to 9.8 thousand tons, sausages - +3.1%, up to 4.7 thousand tons.

The region significantly outpaced other constituent entities of the Volga Federal District in terms of growth in butter and beef production. In addition to the Chuvash Republic, the top five leaders in butter production growth in the district included the Orenburg Region (+52.8%), the Republic of Bashkortostan (+44.2%), the Nizhny Novgorod Region (+13.4%), and the Mari El Republic (+12.6%). The Ulyanovsk Region (+68.7%), Samara Region (+44.2%), the Republic of Tatarstan (+38.9%), and Penza Region (+25.9%) also saw the most significant increases in beef production .

The leading dairy plants in Chuvashia are Yadrinmoloko OJSC and Akkondmoloko LLC. According to the Chuvash Ministry of Agriculture, major investment projects will be implemented in the region in 2025: the installation of new dairy bottling lines and cottage cheese production at Yadrinmoloko OJSC, and the installation of dairy cooling and packaging equipment at Cheboksary City Dairy Plant LLC.

In the meat processing sector, new technologies are being introduced and production facilities are opening at VDS LLC (construction of a slaughterhouse and processing facility), Privolzhskie Kolbasy MPP LLC (updating meat packaging equipment), Vurnarsky Meat Processing Plant LLC (updating a packaging complex), and others.

Dairy and beef farming are simultaneously developing. Construction of dairy farms (for example, at JSC Agrofirma Kusnar, LLC Krasnoye Sormovo, and others), calf barns, the construction and renovation of beef farms, the construction of slaughterhouses and primary meat processing facilities, and more are underway.

According to the regional ministry, 127 investment projects totaling 7.8 billion rubles are planned for implementation in the republic's agro-industrial complex in 2025. The majority of this funding will be allocated to developing agricultural production, with 6.9 billion rubles allocated for 108 investment projects. Nineteen projects totaling 909 million rubles will be implemented in the food and processing industry. This will allow Chuvashia to maintain its accelerated growth rates in high-quality food production across key sectors.
