Preparations for spring sowing in the Engels region were discussed in the Saratov region

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region for the development of the livestock industry Alexei Molchanov.
Deputy HEAD of the administration for the development of the agro-industrial complex and interaction with LSG bodies Sergey Yegorsky said that this year it is planned to produce 149 thousand tons of grain, 16 thousand tons of sunflower oil seeds, 16.5 thousand tons of potatoes, 80 thousand tons of vegetables in the region , as well as to prepare 16.2 thousand tons of hay, 6 thousand tons of silage, 3.5 thousand tons of haylage, 25.4 thousand tons of straw and 18 thousand tons of haylage.
“Agricultural producers can receive subsidies and financial assistance both for the improvement of rural areas and the improvement of the living conditions of citizens, and for the development of the agro-industrial complex, rural tourism, and the processing industry. Participate in programs, do not be afraid, develop. And we, in turn, will do our best to support you,” Aleksey Molchanov emphasized, talking about the currently existing state support measures for agricultural producers.
Speaking about the upcoming spring sowing, the meeting participants discussed the state of winter crops, the provision of farmers with seeds, including domestic selection, the forecast for the development of pests and diseases in the spring, changes in legislation regarding the handling of livestock by-products.
The issues of readiness of agricultural producers for the irrigation season and tariffs for indicating water supply services, registration and work in the federal information systems "Grain" and "Saturn", lending to SMEs and insurance of crops from emergencies were also considered.
The problem of staffing the industry was also raised. Farm managers were reminded of the instructions of the head of the region Roman Busargin to pay closer attention to the secondary vocational education of graduates in colleges and technical schools of the region so that the agro-industrial complex does not need special workers, and to keep the wages of farmers under constant control.
At the exhibition organized within the framework of the meeting, the achievements of the regional agricultural industry were presented.
