Investigation of the case of torture and murder with special cruelty of a Bobruisk woman completed

December 14, Mogilev. The investigation of the criminal case on the torture and murder with special cruelty of a Bobruisk woman has been completed. BelTA was informed about this by Tatyana Starosotnikova, official representative of the USC in the Mogilev region.

On the night of May 26 in Bobruisk, a 37-year-old man, while at his place of residence and being intoxicated , during a quarrel with his cohabitant inflicted many blows and kicks on her. Then, grabbing the poker, he continued beating the woman. She died at the scene from her injuries.

Investigators, with the involvement of specialists from the UGKSE in the Mogilev region, conducted an inspection of the scene, during which traces and objects were seized, on which a number of expert studies were carried out. Their conclusions have been studied and attached to the materials of the criminal case. The accused has been interrogated. With his participation, an on-site verification of testimony was carried out, during which the man told and clearly demonstrated the circumstances of the crime.

It has been established that since October 2018, the accused periodically beat the cohabitant, beating her, strangling her, hitting her with a stool and other objects, causing physical and mental suffering to the woman until the moment of the murder.

According to the results of the examination, the cause of death of the victim was a closed craniocerebral injury, complicated by hemorrhage and cerebral edema. At least 87 injuries were found on the body of the deceased woman.

According to the place of residence, the person involved is characterized negatively, he abuses alcohol. Previously, he was not prosecuted. The man was charged under part 1 of article 154 (torture) and paragraph 6 of part 2 of article 139 (murder committed with extreme cruelty) of the Criminal Code. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied to him.

The criminal case was transferred to the prosecutor for referral to the court.
