Prosecutor's Office identified facts of torture of a 13-year-old son in the actions of a 37-year-old local resident. To protect the rights and legitimate interests of the minor, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 154 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
According to the case materials, the man was able to
ALCOHOL intoxication , with the intent to cause prolonged pain and suffering, inflicted many blows on his son’s
HEAD and body, and also committed other actions in ways that caused special physical and mental suffering.
To organize a preliminary investigation, the criminal case was sent to the Osipovichi district department of the Investigative Committee.
In relation to the suspect, the deputy district prosecutor authorized the use of a preventive measure in the form of detention.
As
it turned out, the boy was raised in a large family. Due to the immoral lifestyle of the father,
the children were recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation. The man, while intoxicated, systematically used violence against his wife, based on the facts of which in February
2024 , the prosecutor's office of the Osipovichi district opened a criminal case against him for torture under Part 1 of Article 154 of the Criminal Code.
In the development of events, prosecutors, after committing illegal actions against a minor, checked the activities of the competent authorities. They identified omissions in the work to eliminate the unfavorable situation in the family.
Based on the results of the inspection, the prosecutor of the Osipovichi district submitted a presentation to the district executive committee, in which he demanded that violations of the law be eliminated.
