The Ministry of HEALTH approved the clinical protocol "Diagnosis of acute intoxication caused by the use of ALCOHOL, the use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, toxic or other intoxicating substances", provided for by Decree No. 109 of the Ministry of Health of November 8, 2022, BelTA informs with reference to the TELEGRAM channel departments.
The Ministry of Health recalled that the provision of medical care to patients is carried out according to the profiles of diseases, conditions, syndromes on the basis of clinical protocols. In connection with changes in legislation and the introduction of new diagnostic tools, it became necessary to adopt a new clinical protocol on a set of medical services aimed at establishing a diagnosis of acute intoxication caused by the use of alcohol, the consumption of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, toxic or other intoxicating substances (surfactants) .
The new clinical protocol establishes the diagnosis of acute intoxication caused by the use of narcotic (opioids, cannabinoids) and other substances, the procedure for treating minors with acute intoxication with alcohol, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, toxic or other intoxicating substances, as well as a new degree of intoxication - pathological intoxication.
The developers are confident that the implementation of the norms of the new clinical protocol will improve the quality of medical care for patients suffering from dependence on psychoactive substances, improve the quality of life of this category of patients, reduce the incidence of severe disabling complications and premature death. It is noted that the clinical protocol "Diagnosis of acute intoxication caused by the use of alcohol, the use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, toxic or other intoxicating substances" was developed taking into account modern approaches of evidence-based medicine and international clinical recommendations, contains the necessary information on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with dependence on PAS, will help ensure the integrity of the diagnostic and treatment process,
