What will change in the rules for importing alcohol in Belarus?

December 7, MINSK . At the meeting of the tenth session of the House of Representatives of the seventh convocation, deputies adopted in the first reading the bill “On amending laws on the production and circulation of alcoholic beverages,” BELTA reports.

The bill, in particular, proposes to secure for the state the exclusive right to import alcoholic products and to define cases when such a right does not apply to alcoholic products imported into the territory of Belarus.

it is also planned to link to the basic values ​​the minimum size of the authorized capital of legal entities, upon reaching which the right to import alcoholic products is granted (at least 24 thousand basic values; currently - at least 250 thousand euros).

In addition, it is envisaged that the government will be given the right to determine the conditions and procedure for excluding organizations from the list of legal entities engaged in the production of original alcoholic beverages, and making changes to this list. It is also proposed to secure the right to the wholesale sale of alcoholic beverages to government bodies for use during official events, to allow any methods of payment for alcoholic beverages with persons undergoing liquidation proceedings in a bankruptcy case, as well as with persons held by the COURT to subsidiary liability after the opening of a liquidation production.
