In Koelga, new cowsheds are built every year

Deputy Governor –The Minister of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region, Aleksey Kobilin, inspected new livestock buildings commissioned in the Koelginskoye agricultural cooperative named after I.N. Shundeev in 2024. In
the Chelyabinsk Region, the construction of agro-industrial complex facilities ("kapeks") has been carried out with state support since 2019. In 2024, the total amount of subsidies for "kapeks" amounted to 655 million rubles from the regional budget. Part of this amount - 182.6 million rubles - was directed to dairy farming to support the construction and modernization of livestock complexes. Four enterprises received subsidies (these farms produce 36% of MILK in the region), 10 investment projects were implemented, an average of 27 percent of the costs of building dairy farms were compensated. The facilities were built by the Karsakbaev KB farm, the Akbashevsky state farm JSC, the Preduralye LLC and the Koelginskoye agricultural production cooperative named after I.N. Shundeev, where five investment projects were implemented in 2024.
- The Koelginskoye agricultural production cooperative named after Ivan Nikandrovich Shundeev is an active participant in the Kapeks program. During the program, thanks to new construction and modernization of production facilities, the enterprise managed to increase the number of cattle , including increasing the dairy herd by a thousand cows. Today, this is the largest herd in the Chelyabinsk region, more than eight thousand heads, which are concentrated in three departments, - commented Alexey Kobilin. - The effectiveness of supporting capital construction of agricultural facilities has been proven by the growth in production volumes; enterprises have the opportunity to further independently expand production.
Since 2019, 17 investment projects for the construction of livestock facilities have been implemented in Koelginskoye, which helped increase the cattle population by more than three thousand heads. Annual milk production increased by 12.4 thousand tons and reached 35.4 thousand tons in 2024 (by the end of the year, they milked 102 tons of milk per day). Each cow here produces an average of 9,864 kilograms of milk per year.
"The capex program is good for us because it allows us to build such large facilities, compensating for part of the construction costs through support. We build every year, spending approximately 300 to 450 million on modernization and creation of new livestock facilities," said Anatoly Shundeev, Chairman of the Koelginskoye Agricultural Production Cooperative. - In 2024, we completed three major projects: we completed the second half of the 800-head cowshed, modernized the 400-head cowshed, and built a new calf barn for 400 calves. We plan to continue increasing milk production and eventually reach daily production of 110-115 tons."
