A renovated facility has opened in the Yantikovo District, which, following a competition, was chosen as the venue for Chuvash Republic Day 2024. Oleg
Nikolaev, Head of Chuvashia, who participated in the opening ceremony, announced this on his Telegram channel.
The new equipment was installed at the cheese dairy of Tatyana Yurkina from the village of Chuteevo. In 2021, the agricultural producer attended the Farmer's School and decided to start her own agribusiness. A republican grant, "Perspektiva," helped her with this. The cheesemaker developed a business plan, defended it in the selection process, and received 8 million rubles from the republican budget. Using her own 3.5 million rubles, Tatyana Yurkina carried out a comprehensive modernization of the facility and installed new equipment: milk tanks, heating and cooling units, a shrink tank, a cheddarizer, pumps, and a packaging machine. In total, she needed 22 pieces of specialized equipment.
While cheese production in 2023 was 774 kg, plans call for 19 tons by 2024, and 22 tons by 2025. The new facility has also helped create jobs in the village. Three employees will be employed at the cheese factory this year. The
current range of cheeses includes Suluguni, Mozzarella, Chechil, Lambert, and Caciotta, as well as rolled cheese with dried fruit, mango, dates, pine nuts, and natural cheese.yogurt andCottage cheese .
They sell their products throughout the region – in Urmary and Yantikovo, Kanash and Tsivilsk, Cheboksary, Novocheboksarsk, and Batyrevo. They also ship to other regions, including Moscow and Kirov. They plan to expand their distribution network. Negotiations are currently underway to supply products to VkusVill.
The Perspektiva grant is a form of government support that applies exclusively to our republic. Thanks to this program, areas that were previously practically unclaimed in the region are developing. In terms of dynamics, cheese production in the region has quadrupled over the past three years – from 627 to 2,513 tons. This is largely due to the work of our grant recipients: while in 2021 they produced 6 tons of cheese per year, now it's 150 tons. They demonstrate by their example the demand for this product on the market and prove that Chuvash cheese can be better than foreign cheese,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.Sergey Artamonov, Minister of Agriculture
of Chuvashia, said: "In 2024, the region plans to boost other production areas as well. The Perspektiva grant has allocated 150 million rubles to support farmers in 2024. This funding will be available to producers engaged in aquaculture, sheep farming, berry growing, open-field vegetable growing, and agritourism. The competition is scheduled to be announced in July.
"I am very pleased to be attending the opening of the Kubninskaya cheese factory today. Another investment project by a graduate of Rosselkhozbank's educational project, 'Farmer's School,' has been completed. This clearly demonstrates that our project helps people develop businesses in rural areas, produce high-quality, natural products, and strengthen our country's food security," noted Irina Pismenskaya, Director of the Chuvashia branch of Rosselkhozbank. "Since its launch nationwide, the School has trained over 5,500 farmers, 130 of which are in Chuvashia."
