More than 5 billion rubles will be invested in modernizing a dairy plant in Bashkortostan.

The dairy industry is and will likely remain the driver of development in the Republic of Bashkortostan's agro-industrial complex for many years to come, noted Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov during a working visit to the Ufa Dairy Plant, where, with the arrival of a new investor, production has begun to modernize, with an investment of over 5 billion rubles.
"Our goal is to have 50 industrial dairy farms operating in the region by 2030, producing at least 1 million tons of commercial milk," he said. "Twenty such farms are already operating, and we will commission three more this year. We understand that this is a significant investment ; one such project costs between 2 and 8 billion rubles. But solutions exist."
Ilshat Fazrakhmanov emphasized that simply producing milk is not enough. It must be transformed into a complete food product.
"The region's current milk processing capacity will not be sufficient for such volumes," noted the head of the regional agricultural department. "Therefore, we are looking forward to new investments in this area as well. Today we are at the Ufa Dairy Plant site, where a new investor has arrived, and a significant modernization of production is expected, increasing processing capacity to 500 tons of milk per day."
Andrey Shutov, managing shareholder of Komos Group LLC, noted that the company assumed management of the Ufa Dairy Plant in December.
He stated that the project to modernize the plant's facilities and increase production is estimated to cost over 5 billion rubles. The modernization is scheduled for five years and includes, among other things, retooling production facilities and reconfiguring business processes to expand the product range and increase raw milk processing.
"Why five years, you ask?" the investor replied. "Because we will modernize gradually, without interrupting existing production."
Today, the plant's new management team also shared its development plans with the staff. Andrey Shutov also noted that close attention will be paid not only to improving the professional skills of the plant's employees but also to maintaining their health. This includes annual medical checkups for the team and regular sports activities.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Minister of Agriculture wished the team success in this new stage of development.
