On June 10, RUSSIA celebrates one of the main holidays for people employed in agriculture - Farmer's Day. Farming plays an important role in the development of the economy of the Tambov region, as well as in providing the population with quality products. There are about two thousand farms in the region.
“Farming is our food security,” notes Maxim Egorov, Acting HEAD of the Administration of the Tambov Region. - These are environmentally friendly products of high quality, this is the uniqueness of the Tambov region. Thanks to farmers who put their strength and skills, soul and knowledge into their work, our region has its own special products that are loved not only by Tambov residents, but are also in demand in the capital and Russian regions. I congratulate all the farmers of the region on the holiday, I wish them good HEALTH, well-being, as well as high yields and growth in food production.”
The other day, the acting head of the region took part in the V Congress of the Association of Peasant Farms of the Tambov Region. As part of the event, he visited agricultural exhibitions, talked with local farmers, discussed with them the possibilities of effective development of the sphere, as well as a new direction - "Agritourism". Maxim Egorov considers the Tambov region a promising tourist destination. “Our agricultural producers must definitely consider all possible options for organizing tourist routes on the basis of their farms,” the acting head of the region believes. - Together, they can organize gastronomic routes through the Tambov outback, where a tourist can taste fresh MILK, pick ripe strawberries, cook homemade cheese or cook cottage cheese, bake bread in a Russian oven. The village is pristineRussia , these are our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, and I am sure that many residents of our country will want to touch this primevalness.”
To do this, Tambov agrarians can use state support and organize a tourist route on the basis of their farm. Recall that the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation proposes a new measure of support in the form of grants for the development of rural tourism.
State support in the form of grants also helps the KFH annually increase the production of milk, eggs, MEAT, and vegetables.
The region has a project for novice farmers "Agrostartup" within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized businesses and support for individual entrepreneurial initiatives." Over the past three years, 80 farmers have received support for the development of dairy and beef cattle breeding, poultry farming, vegetable growing, and berry growing.
