On May 11, at a weekly videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture of the region Leonid Gromov summed up the work of livestock breeders in January-April of this year.
Compared to last year, milk production increased by 10% (by 13.9 thousand tons). In the first ten days of May, this figure has already increased to 11%. Goat milk yield increased by 13%. The number of dairy cattle increased by 6% (by 52.1 thousand).
The average productivity of cows was 2976 kg, which is 117 kg more than last year. The highest milk yields are in Tarussky (4219 kg), Peremyshlsky (3436 kg), Ferzikovsky (3297 kg), Borovsky (3112 kg), Medynsky (3099 kg) and Kuibyshevsky (3071 kg) districts.
Ferzikovites are leading in terms of production volumes. They milked 34 thousand tons of milk. The industry is developing at a faster pace in the Kozelsky district. Since the beginning of the year, 13.3 thousand tons of milk have been received, which is 2.2 times more than last year.
The top three farms are Kaluzhskaya Niva LLC, Russian Cheese LLC and Optinsky Prostory LLC.
