From 2022, a unified procedure for state support for fishing enterprises in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug will begin to operate. It will simplify the procedure and shorten the time for obtaining assistance.
This was discussed at a meeting with the heads of regional agricultural enterprises under the Deputy Governor of Yamal, Sergei Karasyov.
Over the coming years, the volume of state support for fish producers will be stable.
“The development of the agro-industrial complex is not only about solving production problems, it is about creating new jobs, increasing incomes and the quality of life of all those who work in this industry. Today, the agro-industrial complex ensures the social well-being of the district,” Sergey Karasev noted.
Processors of fish products are faced with the goal of expanding the range. The volume of state support for the processing of fish raw materials will be increased.
“The development of deep processing of fish and venison within the region and ensuring the availability of these products for Yamal residents are the key parameters around which we are building a system of support and incentives for agricultural enterprises. It is necessary that the residents of the district see our products on sale and make a choice in favor of their own, local. Moreover, today we are seeing a trend towards an increase in consumer demand for Yamal goods,” Viktor Yugay, director of the relevant department, said in his report.
Special attention was paid to providing schools and kindergartens with local products. This task was set by the Governor of Yamal Dmitry Artyukhov. It solves two issues at once: children will eat delicious and environmentally friendly food, and local agricultural producers will receive support in the form of an extensive market. The idea of introducing local fish and venison into the menu of kindergartens and schools was supported by the vast majority of respondents in the course of a sociological survey conducted in July this year.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the transition to an electronic format of interaction. With the help of the state information system, agro-industrial enterprises can already remotely apply for state support measures, conclude agreements, send applications for the transfer of subsidy funds, and also provide reports on them.
