Turkey production in the Moscow region increased by 40% after the modernization of poultry complexes

In 2023, in the Moscow region, turkey meat production increased by 40%, reaching 8.6 thousand tons.
“In the Moscow region there are 2 large poultry farms engaged in growing turkey. They number 222,000 animals. These producers also act as the main suppliers of dietary turkey meat to the shelves of retail chains. Thus, in 2023, turkey production increased by 40%. This growth is due to the modernization of production, the introduction of advanced technologies, as well as an increase in the number of birds,” said the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region -Minister of Agriculture and Food Vladislav Murashov.
The regional enterprises “Egoryevskaya Poultry Farm” and “Bronnitskaya Poultry Farm” are actively involved in turkey production.
“As part of state support, we reimburse part of the costs for the purchase of hatching eggs up to 20%. This money can be received for each egg purchased between January 1 and November 30. Last year, the total amount of support amounted to 23.5 million rubles,” added Vladislav Murashov.
“Egoryevskaya Poultry Farm” has been specializing in the production of poultry meat and poultry products for more than twenty years. The product range includes chilled broiler chicken meat , semi-finished products and poultry delicacies, as well as turkey products.
