9.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers purchased for autumn field work in the Moscow region

The total provision of fertilizers in the region today is 77%.
“9.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have already been purchased for autumn field work, 8.5 thousand tons have been contracted, and the purchase continues,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government, who is in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
More than 110 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers were purchased in the Moscow region for spring field work in 2023.
Most of the fertilizers used, as in 2022, fell on 6 urban districts: Zaraysk, Serebryanye Prudy, Kolomna, Dmitrovsky, Lukhovitsy, Stupino.
Mineral fertilizers in agriculture are used to increase the yield and quality of crops as a result of additional nutrients entering the soil when they are applied.
