A delegation of experts from Tomsk, led by Acting Deputy Governor for Agro-Industrial Policy Artem Konev, spent three days in the northern region—in the Strezhevoy urban district and the Aleksandrovsky district.
The delegation included Evgeniya Bulkina, Head of the Department for Rural Socioeconomic Development of the Tomsk Region.
The program included visits to the farms of Alexey Boychenko and Alexander Zalesov, the Strezhevoy Bird project of Dmitry Leskovsky, and the ostrich farm of Alfia Sushkova. The delegates also visited the Aleksandrovskie Konservy fish cannery, logging companies, and a municipal animal shelter, and participated in a ceremony dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Aleksandrovsky district.
The first stop on the route was one of Strezhevoy's leading agricultural enterprises— the Alexey Boychenko livestock complex , established in 2002 on the site of the Strezhevoy state farm. The farm has 1,072 head of cattle , including 533 cows. The enterprise produces up to 4 tons of dairy products daily, covering over 20 different varieties, which are supplied to social service institutions and retail chains in Strezhevoy, the Aleksandrovsky District, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The meat processing plant produces over 10 types of products.
Experts visited the farm of Dmitry Leskovsky, a 2021 Agrostartup grant winner. The project cost almost 4 million rubles, 3 million of which came from the grant and the rest from the entrepreneur's own funds. Once it reaches its design capacity, the farm plans to annually produce 11 tons of broilers, 1.7 tons of quail, 1.3 tons of geese, 1.4 tons of ducks, and 2.8 tons of turkeys.
Alfia Sushkova's ostrich farm breeds not only ostriches but also other farm animals. Here you can buy ostrich eggs , African ostrich meat , pork, and various poultry breeds. A petting zoo is located next to the farm.
The second day of the visit to the north of Tomsk was spent in the Aleksandrovsky District. Artyom Konev took part in the opening ceremony of the celebration of the district's 100th anniversary. On behalf of the governor, he congratulated residents on this significant event.
The working group visited the Aleksandrovskie Konservy fish cannery, which produces 25 types of products. The company produces up to 2 million cans of fish annually.
The private farm of Aleksandr Zalesov, a 2018 grant recipient of the "Beginning Farmer" program, breeds cattle . By 2023, 28 centners of meat and 430 centners of milk were produced.
"We've documented all the issues raised by agricultural producers for analysis and action. We provide assistance to businesses annually across all areas of government support, primarily in organizing feed deliveries and purchasing equipment. Conducting agricultural business in the north of the Tomsk region requires particularly close attention from the authorities . Our goal is to facilitate the development of the industry and agricultural activities, which are so challenging in the challenging northern climate and geographical remoteness from the center," Artyom Konev emphasized following his visit.
