Agrarians of the Saratov region are preparing for the spring sowing

“In 2022, the sown area in the Saratov region will be more than 4.0 million hectares, of which grains and legumes - 2.248 million hectares, industrial crops - 1.7 million hectares: sunflower 1464 thousand hectares, SUGAR beet 8.5 thousand hectares , potatoes 8.4 thousand hectares, vegetables and gourds 23.3 thousand hectares,” said Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region, Minister of Agriculture of the region.
Production plan: grain 4.4 million tons, sunflower oil seeds 1.8 million tons, sugar beets 366 thousand tons, potatoes 138.7 thousand tons, vegetables and gourds 367.2 thousand tons.
To date, 1 million 226 thousand hectares of winter grains have been sown, including 1 million 160 thousand hectares of wheat, 62 thousand hectares of rye, and 4.0 thousand hectares of triticale.
41 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate, 7.0 thousand tons of azophoska, 9.0 thousand tons of KAS-32, 16.5 thousand tons of ammophos, 3.4 thousand tons of urea, 3.6 thousand tons of other mineral fertilizers.
1,092 tons of seeds of corn hybrids, 1,135 tons of varietal sunflower seeds, 1,200 tons of hybrid sunflower seeds, 38% sugar beet or 16 tons of sugar beet seeds were purchased.
Seed dressing of spring crops is planned to be carried out in the amount of 126.9 thousand tons, 68.3 tons of dressers will be required.
