The introduction of food sanctions by Belarus against Western countries will not affect the Russian market, HEAD of the National MEAT Association Sergei Yushin told RBC.
“For RUSSIA, this is a neutral factor. On the other hand, for us, in particular for Russian pig breeders, the Belarusian market is very interesting. If a few years ago Belarus supplied Belarusian pork to Russia, now the situation is different: Russia supplies Belarus. But the introduction of these sanctions will not affect Russia, because we do not mark the supply of Belarusian products using illegal channels,” he said.
According to him, there have been no sanctioned Belarusian goods in Russia in the past few years. “As for fresh, unprocessed meat, for the past two or three years we have not noted the presence of a product that is sanctioned and would come from Belarus,” he said.
Belarus will ban the import of pork and MILK from the EU and the US Politics
Yushin clarified that the existing state system "Mercury" allows you to clearly track the movement of products. “The product is very difficult to put into circulation and legalize, as the system immediately notes inexplicable bursts of certain volumes at some enterprise or some product,” he added.
