The European Union will consider additional restrictions against RUSSIA in connection with the holding of referendums in the DPR, LPR, as well as in the territories of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions controlled by it, said the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
“Russia, its political leadership, as well as all those involved in these “referendums” and other violations of international law in Ukraine will be held accountable, and additional restrictive measures against Russia will also be considered,” Borrell warned.

The EU remains steadfast in its support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and also calls on Russia to withdraw its troops, the head of EU diplomacy added.
Brussels condemns the planned "illegal referendums" that run counter to the "legitimate and democratically elected Ukrainian authorities", violate the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state, and are "a blatant violation of international law". The European Union does not recognize their results, Borrell stressed.

In the DPR, the question for the voting ballot was formulated as follows: “Do you support the entry of the DPR into the Russian Federation as a constituent entity of the Russian Federation?”
In the LPR, the question will sound like this: “Are you in favor of the LPR joining the Russian Federation as a constituent entity of the Russian Federation?”
The bulletin in the Kherson region will contain the question: “Are you in favor of secession of the region from Ukraine, the formation of the Kherson region as an independent state and its entry into the Russian Federation as a subject of the Russian Federation?”
In the Zaporozhye region, the question was formulated as follows: “Are you in favor of secession of the Zaporozhye region from Ukraine, formation of an independent state by the Zaporozhye region and its entry into the Russian Federation as a subject of the Russian Federation?” It will be dubbed in Ukrainian.
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has already promised that the deputies will support the decision to join the DPR and LPR to Russia, if it is made.
Deputy head of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called referendums in the Donbass and other "liberated territories" necessary to restore historical justice. They "completely change the vector of Russia's development for decades," and after the annexation of new territories, "the geopolitical transformation in the world will become irreversible," Medvedev is convinced.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Kuleba, in turn, assured that Ukraine would continue to liberate its territories, despite referendums on joining Russia.
