As Minister of HEALTH of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Sadykov said today at the board meeting, 9098 people of working age died in Tatarstan in 2022. This is 22% of the total number of deaths. Compared to the year before last, the indicator decreased by 11.8% to 448 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

At the same time, men die at working age more often than women. In 2022, 315 women aged 30-39 and 921 men died in Tatarstan. In the group of 40-44 years, 861 men and 298 women died. Among the leading causes are diseases of the circulatory system and external circumstances.

“All leaders need to adjust plans to reduce mortality with an emphasis on maintaining the health of the working population, including men. In this, we see great reserves for reducing overall mortality,” Sadykov said.

The overall mortality rate decreased by 25.8% compared to the year before last. As Sadykov noted, last year they managed to overcome the consequences of the CORONAVIRUS pandemic. The mortality rate was 11.5 cases per 1 thousand inhabitants. A year earlier, there were 15.5 deaths per 1,000 Tatarstan residents.

The number of deaths from covid-19 decreased by 80.3%, respiratory organs by 42.4%, diseases of the NERVOUS SYSTEM by 35.2%, circulatory diseases decreased by 7.9%, cancer by 2.1% and so on.

The lowest mortality rate is in the Pestrechinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan (8.9 per 1 thousand people), Naberezhnye Chelny (9.1), Almetyevsk, Nizhnekamsk and Kazan (10.5 per 1 thousand inhabitants). Above the national average in 36 districts. Thus, in the Kaibitsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, the mortality rate is 17.9 per thousand people, and Novosheshminsky, Verkhneuslonsky and other regions of the republic are also anti-leaders.

Infant mortality, the minister noted, has dropped to a historic low of 3.3% in 2022. Not a single such case was recorded in 20 municipal districts of the Republic of Tajikistan. Child mortality decreased by 19.7%.

At the same time, the birth rate in Tatarstan continues to decline, therefore, the population decline continues. Last year, the birth rate was 9.4 per 1,000 inhabitants.

The minister said that life expectancy in Tatarstan in 2022 reached 74.58 years. During the year it increased by 3.3 years. According to this indicator, the republic is the leader among the regions of the Volga Federal District and ranks 10th in Russia. The Minister noted that by 2030 life expectancy should increase to 78 years.
