New rules for people returning from abroad come into force in Russia

In Russia, new rules for tourists returning from abroad began to operate. On the eve of the change announced the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.

Since July 7, Russians who have been vaccinated against coronavirus or who have had COVID-19 during the past six months are not required to take a PCR test when returning from abroad. The rest will be enough to pass one test within three days after returning, follows from the document of Rospotrebnadzor.

For Russians returning from abroad, the second PCR test was canceled Society

Previously, citizens returning from abroad had to undergo PCR testing for coronavirus twice. Initially, only those who arrived from Turkey and Tanzania had to take two tests, and from May 1, this requirement was extended to all Russians returning from abroad.

According to the previous decision of Rospotrebnadzor, both PCR tests had to be passed within five days from the date of return with an interval of at least a day between them. Citizens must post the results of the COVID-19 test on the public services portal. Before receiving a negative result, it was necessary to observe self-isolation.
