First group of children vaccinated against COVID-19 in Moscow

In Moscow, 11 children participating in a clinical trial received the first dose of the adapted Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, the chief physician of the Children's City Clinical Hospital named after V.I. PER. Bashlyaeva Ismail Osmanov on the air of the RUSSIA 24 TV channel.

In a conversation with RBC, he clarified that a total of 100 children are participating in the study.

“Children first underwent a serious selection among hundreds of other volunteers, went to our clinic, where we completely examined them, excluded all possible contraindications. Yesterday we hospitalized them, examined them, today we have already vaccinated them,” Osmanov said.

According to him, the vaccinated will be allowed to go home on the fourth day from the moment of receipt, and in three weeks they will return for vaccination with the second component.

“And during the year we will monitor and carefully observe them. All this is being done jointly with the Gamaleya Institute,” the HEAD physician added.

Tests of "Sputnik V" on teenagers began in Moscow Society

In July, studies of the Sputnik V vaccine adapted for children aged 12 to 17 began in Moscow.
