In the Chelyabinsk region introduced mandatory vaccination for the elderly

In the Chelyabinsk region, compulsory vaccination has been introduced for citizens over 60 years old, as well as for students of universities and colleges. The resolution was signed by the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the region Anatoly Semenov, the document is published on the website of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

The Ministry of HEALTH of the Chelyabinsk region should organize mandatory vaccination of these population groups from December 1. People with contraindications are exempted from vaccination.

According to the document, students must be vaccinated with the first component by December 20, the second - by January 10. The terms in which elderly citizens must be vaccinated are not specified in the decree.

The measure was introduced due to the high risk of the spread of covid-19 in the region, the document says. According to the regional Rospotrebnadzor, in the past two weeks, the incidence rate in the group of people aged 18–29 years has increased by 15%, among the elderly - by 16%.
