Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in connection with the threat of the spread of the omicron CORONAVIRUS strain, called on employers to bring as many people as possible to remote work.
During the pandemic, Perm businesses have an established algorithm for working remotely. For example, the regional it cluster will not notice the transition, since this area survived the previous lockdowns the easiest. Of course, there are disadvantages associated with team communication, market players note, but during the pandemic, programmers have adapted to communication on online platforms. However, here, too, employers provide preferences for the optimal performance of their employees.
“A computer is provided, if necessary, to an employee. Access settings, remote access to all information systems are provided. Depending on the needs of the employee, in fact, it can be a full-fledged system unit and a monitor with a mouse, keyboard, or it can be a laptop. It is simply bought in the city where the employee lives and the equipment is delivered to his home,” said Mikhail Sidorov, COO of Rev Games.
Other regional enterprises cannot bring people to a remote mode of work. The reason is the production of essential goods. One day of downtime for such an organization, according to management, will cost hundreds of thousands of rubles. However, in the event of illness of the majority of employees of the company, such enterprises will still not go to a remote mode of operation.
“If we have a strong knock-out of the team, then we, most likely, will simply regroup the brigades so that they work. There is no point in hiring, because long training, high-tech equipment, we cannot allow strangers who do not know how to do anything,” says Andrey Shcherbin, DIRECTOR of Perm Paper Mill LLC.

Since January 17, Sberbank has transferred 50% of its employees to remote work. One of the employees of a credit institution from Perm told RBC Perm that so far the management has set a deadline for a month, but added that they could extend it if necessary.
