The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law establishing criminal liability for unauthorized publication of information about the movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced by the deputy of the Ukrainian parliament Oleksiy Goncharenko in his TELEGRAM channel.

According to the deputy, the country's Criminal Code was supplemented with a new article, according to which criminal cases will be initiated for filming and publishing the positions of the military, as well as their movements.

So, for the dissemination of data on the movement of weapons, weapons threatens with imprisonment for a period of 3-5 years. For information about the movement or location of Ukrainian troops, 5-8 years in prison threatens.

If the transfer of such data was made by prior conspiracy by a group of persons or “for the purpose of providing such information to a state carrying out armed aggression against Ukraine, or to illegal armed formations,” then in this case, the maximum punishment of 8-12 years in prison will follow, the deputy specified. .
