Petersburg again bypassed Moscow in cases of COVID-19 per day

Petersburg has again overtaken Moscow in the number of new cases of coronavirus infection per day, follows from the data of the operational headquarters for combating infection.

So, 1269 cases of COVID-19 were detected per day in the capital , while in St. Petersburg - 1430. In third place in terms of the number of new cases of COVID-19 is the Moscow region, where 673 cases were registered.

During the day, 48 people died from coronavirus in Moscow, 1,513 recovered. In total, 1,579,274 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the capital since the beginning of the pandemic, 27,835 people have died, 1,458,632 have recovered.

In Russia, 18,024 cases of COVID-19 were registered per day, 797 people died, 18,262 recovered. In total, 7,065,904 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected since the beginning of the pandemic, 189,582 people have died, 6,320,512 have recovered.
