The quality of approximately 70 million doses of the Janssen CORONAVIRUS vaccine produced by the American company Johnson & Johnson is in doubt. This was reported by The New York Times, citing sources.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reviews drug batches, most of which are intended for domestic use.
The vaccine is manufactured at the Emergent BioSolutions plant in Baltimore, Maryland, where ASTRAZENECA is also made. Previously, a marriage was found there in the 15 millionth batch of vaccine. According to the newspaper, plant employees accidentally mixed the components of two different vaccines, due to which 15 million doses of Janssen did not pass quality control, manufacturers were forced to dispose of them.

Now the FDA has questioned the quality of another 70 million doses of vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, which were produced at the same time as the previously contaminated batch. The inspection found that one of the likely causes of infection could be employees who did not receive proper disinfection when moving between the AstraZeneca and Janssen production areas.
