Citizens, including those who have been vaccinated against a new coronavirus infection, should avoid overheating in the heat. This was announced by the head of the Center. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg, reports TASS.

“In the heat, overheating, excessive sweating do not contribute not only to vaccination, but also to the general condition of a person,” he said.

According to him, all recommendations for behavior in the heat apply to absolutely any person. He also clarified that there are no contraindications for swimming in reservoirs after vaccination, the main thing is to avoid long swims.

Gunzburg noted that hypertensive patients and diabetics should be especially careful in hot weather. “There is no need to put yourself in extreme conditions,” he added.

On June 18, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reported that in Russia the daily rate of vaccination against COVID-19 had increased by 5% . She also claimed that the incidence of coronavirus has increased by a third over the past few days. “The increase in the incidence of a new coronavirus infection over the last five days of this week compared to the five days of last week was 34.4%, in Moscow the figures are higher - 54.4%,” she said.

In addition to the increase in COVID-19 cases, record high temperatures have been set in some regions of Russia in recent days. So, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand warned Muscovites that hot weather with air temperatures up to 35 degrees would last in the capital at least until the end of next week. “The weather will be super hot, and this heat will last,” he said.

Vilfand also warned residents of central Russia against the dangerous level of ultraviolet radiation from the sun, which will be observed in the Central Federal District in the coming days. “Such a situation in the center of European Russia is rare, but it is on these days that you need to be wary of a strong sun,” he argued.
