The restriction on the export of poultry meat from Belarus is not related to avian influenza

During a telephone conversation, the parties discussed restrictions imposed by Belarus on the EXPORT of poultry MEAT to foreign markets.

“The ROSSELKHOZNADZOR is concerned about information received from participants in foreign economic activity that the reason for such a measure could be the worsening of the epizootic situation with avian influenza in the republic. During the dialogue, Ivan Smilgin denied this information, emphasizing that the restrictions are related solely to the need to saturate the domestic market during the II Games of the CIS countries, which are held from August 4 to 14 in Belarus, ”the ministry said in a statement.
