February 15, MINSK. How things are in Belarus with the accession of unprofitable dairy enterprises to large processing plants, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vadim Shagoiko at a press conference, BelTA has learned.

"Belarus is one of the five leading countries in the EXPORT of dairy products. In this regard, much attention is paid to the development of the dairy industry. Significant resources are invested in the development of the raw material base of agricultural organizations, as well as the improvement of processing enterprises. In recent years, our enterprises have really undergone a serious modernization thanks to the allocated "Initially, almost every region of Belarus had a MILK processing enterprise. Now we have reduced them to 33 large plants, and this process will continue," said Vadim Shagoiko.

He added that processing enterprises cannot exist on their own, they must create a raw material base for themselves to obtain milk and process it.

“Of course, at certain times, enterprises may experience difficulties, including financial ones. At the same time, if necessary, relevant regulatory documents are adopted. For example, the development of the Vitebsk region is carried out within the framework of Decree No. plants were given installment payments to reduce the burden on processing enterprises. In addition, processing enterprises were instructed to strengthen their raw material base. I note that these issues are considered on an ongoing basis at the levels of the region, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the government.
