In five years, to get away from the tethered keeping of cows and build technologically advanced dairy complexes that are optimal in terms of price and quality - such a task was set for farmers in July by the President, visiting the Orsha district. In CJSC "Maya 1" of Nesvizh region, this order was fulfilled, and long before the order of the HEAD of state.

Bet on MTK

– Over the past 10 years, we have transferred the entire dairy herd from dairy farms with tie-down housing to three modern dairy complexes. All were equipped with Westfalia milking and milking machines. There are even robots at one MTK, - says Anatoly Rudyak , DIRECTOR of May 1 CJSC. - The equipment is good, modern - they did not save on it.

Made a bet on the MTK is not accidental. Life forced us to adjust the production strategy: initially bringing serious profit back in the 2000s, fattening of cattle (the farm lived by growing beef) became unprofitable. But the prices for MILK went up: the profitability of sales rose to 50%!

Perestroika required large financial, labor, moral costs and efforts. Therefore, almost everything at the new facilities was built using the economic method. That turned out to be cheaper. The MINSK Regional Executive Committee helped to buy reinforced concrete structures. They were installed by PMK (SU). The rest was brought to mind by a team of builders from the Stolin region. They invited her on the recommendation: professionals, without bad habits: three weeks at the facility, one at home. Stolin artisans have practically completed all three dairy complexes. It turned out to be a hit.

The herd doubled

Now it is already obvious that the forces and means were not spent in vain. The launch of new ITCs made it possible for CJSC livestock breeders to increase the number of cows. If 10 years ago there were 600-800 heads, then today the dairy herd is 1362 cows. With the launch of new milking technologies, livestock breeders have abandoned three-time milking.

- On the first day, the volume of milk production fell slightly, but then stabilized and recovered. The transfer of milking to a two-time format gave the farm energy savings and facilitated the work of milkmaids. And the main characters of this experiment - cows - got the opportunity to have more rest, - the manager tells about the formation of the main - dairy - direction of the farm. – Daily milk yield – 27.5 kg per cow. In total, we milk 27 tons per day. Milk in the amount of 25.2 tons is sold to the Kletsk branch of the Slutsk cheese-making plant, 94.6% - extra grade.

For milking - in heels

“Our MTCs have been landscaped according to all modern requirements, Nesvizh DRSU-168 paved the yards, and there are flowers next to the buildings. So our girls come in heels. They change their shoes later, - notes Anatoly Ivanovich.

Despite the fact that the dairy topic is still the most profitable in agriculture, CJSC "May 1" still holds a high bar in beef production. Here they understand the importance of growing MEAT products for the state.

“Today, the sale of cattle to meat processing plants in the Minsk region is 250–300 heads per month,” says the head of the farm.

The total number of cattle in CJSC "May 1" is 8.6 thousand. Bulls are kept at the complex for rearing and fattening young cattle with a capacity of 4.8 thousand heads, the replacement livestock of heifers is kept at club farms. All three ITCs, the complex for growing and fattening young cattle, as well as farms with growing cows are clean and tidy, and the animals are full and happy.

We will fulfill the state order!

The herds of the farm are provided with a reliable forage base all year round.

In ZAO "May 1", whose lands begin almost behind Nesvizh, journalists arrived at the height of the harvest. Previously, winter barley was harvested on 175 hectares. On the day of arrival, all combine equipment went to harvest wheat: the fields had already dried up after the rain.

– Let's just say that the current agricultural year turned out to be difficult: the spring was cold, then it stopped raining. And our lands are light, sandy, as a result, barley yielded less than expected - 52 centners per hectare. Although this is a good result, - says the chief agronomist Anatoly Mikhlai, driving us to the field, along which several red Polesie combines and one green - foreign John Deere were slowly walking.

The yield of winter wheat turned out to be higher than that of winter barley: 78.7 q/ha. No worse than last year.

“We never grind less than 10 thousand tons of grain,” says Anatoly Rudyak. “Of the total harvest , 7,000 tons go to feed cattle, another 800 tons go to the state order, which we send to Borisovskiy KHP, as well as 100 tons of barley to Belsolod for beer production.

Farmers predict a good harvest of SUGAR beet, under which CJSC "May 1" has 410 hectares, as well as corn - an important component of feed for cattle. And the corn was a success in ZAO "May 1" to the glory!

“To renew the seed fund, we buy only the elite and the super-elite, and from our own we use only the seeds of the first reproduction,” says the chief agronomist. - The key to good yields is the provision of mineral fertilizers - for full demand.

Livestock - with feed ...

To feed the 8,000th herd, livestock breeders need about 7,000 tons of mixed fodder, most of which CJSC 1 Maya produces on its own.

- And in our own equipped feed mill - according to the recipes recommended by science! Anatoly Rudyak says. – Independent production of feed is a reduction in price up to 40%! We buy only granular compound feed from Borisov CCP: grade KR-1 for calves and K-61, which is given out by robots to cows that come to them for milking.

The enterprise is also actively engaged in the preparation of haylage and silage, and for such a huge herd they need about 50 thousand tons. Here comes the third mowing of grasses. May Day residents also count on the fourth: there are a lot of peat-bog soils on the territory of the economy. In order to mow more hay and prepare haylage, the grass was fed with nitrogen in a timely manner.

...collective farmer - with money

- There will be a livestock with fodder, and a collective farmer - with money, - its leader predicts the future of ZAO May 1st. - If we have a job , then we will not be left without a salary ... Yes, it was dry at first, but now we see: the year is going well! I am sure that everything will work out for us, - says Anatoly Rudyak, director of CJSC May 1, specifying that the average salary for the first half of the year is 1.5 thousand rubles.

The leader's optimism is based on many years of experience. Anatoly Ivanovich has been in the agricultural sector all his conscious life. He started as a mechanic in Nesvizh agricultural chemistry. When he was invited as an engineer for the maintenance of agricultural machinery in the Soltanovshchina department of the May 1 farm, he agreed. Leonovichi, where the central estate is located, was seen by the new mechanic as a small "center of the universe." From the agro-town to the capital - 120 km, 15 km each - to Nesvizh, Kletsk, Kopyl and 60 km - to Stolbtsy.

The new specialist was well versed in technology, and in force majeure situations that happen from time to time in the field and between people, he showed himself with dignity, wisely and in the highest degree professionally.

The appointment of Anatoly Rudyak to the post of director of CJSC May 1, when the former leader went up the career ladder, also became natural for everyone.

And for 16 years now, Anatoly Ivanovich, who has the gift of economic foresight and the ability to motivate people, who is well aware of the advantages and disadvantages of modern technology and agronomy, has been at the helm of CJSC "May 1".

The formula for success continues to work

Over the past years, the farm has picked up a good team of specialists. These are Sergey Osipenko, deputy director for animal husbandry, and chief engineer Vitaly Chernyavsky, and livestock breeder Tatyana Grinkevich, and Marina Yunets, head of the Leonovichi ITC.

A significant contribution to the success of the farm is made by the heroes of the 2023 harvest: chief agronomist Anatoly Mikhlai, a family crew consisting of combine operators Dmitry Kazak and his wife Ekaterina, combine operators Ivan Segey and his wife Olga.

Among the leaders are those who serve livestock complexes . These are the operator of the mechanized installation MTK "Leonovichi" Dmitry Mikhalenya, the foreman of the complex for fattening cattle "Dubeyki" Svetlana Shkoda, the tractor driver Stanislav Fleryanovich, the machine operator for maintenance of the complexes Sergey Sinichin and others.

There are 240 employees in the team - each in his place.

“But they wouldn’t refuse one or two veterinarians,” says the head of the farm, talking about the fact that all workers are provided with housing: there is no queue.

The economy continues to build. This year, he is building two more houses - with all amenities. Gas and water are connected to the housing built by the farm.

For each employee of CJSC "May 1" "buns" of the social package are calculated, and he is in this economy - God forbid everyone! Going on vacation , the employee receives material assistance in the amount of the average salary. For each - payments for anniversaries, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Agricultural Workers' Day, New Year, March 8, February 23 , for the birth of a child, retirement. The company also makes contributions to the Voluntary Insurance Fund for supplementary funded pensions.

In the team of CJSC "1 Maya" the formula for success, which Anatoly Rudyak revealed to us this spring, is still relevant:

- Roll up your sleeves and work, and success and recognition will come - give it time!

“We never grind less than 10 thousand tons of grain,” says Anatoly Rudyak. “Of the total harvest, 7,000 tons go to feed cattle, another 800 tons go to the state order, which we send to Borisovskiy KHP, as well as 100 tons of barley to Belsolod for beer production.

Despite the fact that the dairy topic is still the most profitable in agriculture, CJSC "May 1" still holds a high bar in beef production. Here they understand the importance of growing meat products for the state.
