Uganda expects to directly supply Russia with tea, coffee and bananas

July 26, MINSK. The President of Uganda, after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, said that the country wants to cooperate directly with the Russian Federation. The agency writes about it.

The leader of the African state, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, stressed during a press conference that Uganda produces many crops that could be useful to RUSSIA. In particular, they talked about coffee, for the production of which Uganda ranks first among African countries. The President of the country also specified that the country intends to directly supply tea, MILK , grain, bananas to the Russian Federation.

In addition, Uganda already supplies fruit to Russia, but does so through Western Europe. "We can trade directly," President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni said.

The African country also sees prospects for cooperation with Russia in the medical and space fields, as well as in the development of the peaceful atom. It is worth noting that significant natural reserves of uranium are located in Uganda.
