June 18,
MINSK . The first transactions for the sale of dairy products to Kyrgyzstan were completed at the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. As part of the concluded exchange contracts,
it is planned to supply trial batches of Belarusian butter and skimmed
MILK powder with a volume of 20 tons each to the market of this Central Asian state. Thus, the geography of foreign buyers of dairy products using the BUCE electronic platform has once again expanded, BelTA learned from the BUCE press service.
At the same time, the exchange believes that registered foreign trade transactions not only open up new
EXPORT opportunities for Belarusian milk processing enterprises, but also confirm the interest of business circles of Kyrgyzstan in more active work on the exchange commodity market of Belarus.
“A characteristic feature of the development of cooperation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan in the exchange sector is the regular expansion of the range of goods involved in mutual trade. Initially, these were only supplies of sunflower seeds to Belarusian agricultural organizations, but over the past few years a number of new positions have appeared in the structure of exchange transactions. In In particular, ferrous metal products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan began to be imported into
Belarus through exchange trading, while Belarusian exporters began to successfully sell lumber,
SUGAR , and now dairy products to Kyrgyz bidders. As a rule, such diversification is accompanied by an increase in the volume of exchange trade turnover. by increasing the number of accredited companies. Therefore, in trade with Kyrgyzstan by the end of
2024 , we expect to achieve positive results in both indicators,” the BUCE press service commented.
As of June 1, 2024, 26 residents of the Kyrgyz Republic were accredited to BUCE. The largest volume of transactions in value terms was provided by
the export of Belarusian granulated sugar and edged softwood lumber.
