JSC "Dembrovo", in the Shchuchin region, is famous for its high milk production, as well as for its marble bulls. But the most valuable asset, according to the management of the enterprise, is the team, which they try to support and protect. We visited their fields and the Starovshchina cattle fattening complex and learned how work is organized there and what successes the farmers have achieved in recent years.

Components of success

Farmers of Belarus agree: this year has been very difficult in terms of weather conditions. In the spring, frost hit the fields. As soon as the soil had time to recover from the shock, a two-month drought began. Nevertheless, our farmers, with their rich experience and knowledge, can cope with not such difficulties. OJSC "Dembrovo" is an example of this.

“As a result of the harvesting campaign, we threshed more than 19 thousand tons of grain,” says the director of the enterprise, Alexander Tulya. – The average yield was 72.1 c/ha. The rapeseed yielded quite well. In total, we managed to collect about 4.5 thousand tons of oil seeds. By the way, we process them at our own facilities.

As the head of the farm noted, such results were achieved only thanks to the perseverance and work of Dembro specialists.

– Modern agriculture consists of several components: the use of advanced agricultural technologies, strict adherence to all rules, as well as the dedication and professionalism of the team. Only all this together can give a good result. Every year we strive for new heights,” emphasized Alexander Tulya.

High level of labor organization

During our visit, field work was being completed at the enterprise. Specialists worked on harvesting grain and plowing. Let's go to the field. Two combines, one after another, clear the crops with apparent ease. The bunker is filled quickly, after which the equipment promptly unloads the grain into the dump truck. We meet two machine operators - Valery Veiko and Vitaly Medushevsky. Between them they have hundreds of hectares of harvested fields and thousands of tons of threshed grain.

“ The work is going well,” shares Valery. – Although the year was not easy at all. Changeable weather played a role. But we managed. The grain harvest went well. Now we will harvest the corn and begin preparing and storing the equipment. This is a labor-intensive process that is very important for spring field work.

Vitaly notes the high level of labor organization at the enterprise.

– If the equipment fails, then everything is repaired as soon as possible. I would like to say a big thank you to all those who help us in our difficult daily work. The support of everyone, from the cooks who feed us to the management, is very important,” the machine operator emphasizes.

Bulls - a feast for the eyes

One of the enterprise's specializations is raising bulls. The head of the livestock complex, Roman Chernyavsky, says: in total, they have 5.5 thousand heads of cattle at the complex.

“To be more precise, exclusively bulls,” says the specialist. – Here they go through, so to speak, all stages of growing up. From the smallest individuals, whose weight barely reaches hundreds of kilograms, to the final shipment to the processing plant. We specialize in the production of so-called marbled meat . The final product is meat of the highest quality. Processors also note this.

Now at the complex, builders are building a new shed where the bulls will be kept. The head of the livestock complex notes: there is a certain trend towards keeping animals outdoors.

– Back in Soviet times, the practice of keeping animals in completely enclosed spaces appeared. We are gradually introducing the opposite. And it gives its results. The bulls feel much better and are actively gaining weight. By the way, the average daily weight gain in our complex is about 1.2 kilograms. Of course, there is something to strive for, but the result speaks for itself, emphasizes Roman Chernyavsky.

Pride of the team

JSC "Dembrovo" is a dynamically developing enterprise.

– Of course, we strive to increase the gross production of crop and livestock products. We place the main priority in our work not only on the quantitative, but also on the qualitative factor. We have everything to achieve more. The main thing, in my opinion, is to strive to be one step higher. Then the desired result will come,” notes the deputy head of the farm, Yuri Alekseevich Sakuta.

JSC Dembrovo pays special attention to attracting young personnel.

– The future belongs to the youth. We need to understand what personnel are coming to replace us. Today we can be proud of the young guys. They want and know how to work on the land,” summed up Alexander Tulya.

JSC Dembrovo employs about 400 people, and the agricultural town of the same name as the enterprise is home to just under a thousand residents. Greater social support has been established , including in the form of payments for major holidays and memorable dates. The organization's employees are provided with the necessary equipment and special clothing. JSC employees take part in the social and cultural life of the district, region and country.

– The team for our company is the most valuable asset that we protect. The overall well-being of the enterprise depends on people, on each person. I will say a simple phrase that many of you have heard more than once: we really have professionals working for us. This is not for the sake of words. You saw with your own eyes how the work works and what has been done at the enterprise over the years,” emphasized Alexander Tulya.

In addition to what has been said: OJSC "Dembrovo" has been repeatedly included on the Republican and regional boards of honor.

OJSC "Dembrovo" is famous for its high milk production. According to data for the nine months of 2023, the gross milk yield per cow was 7118 kilograms. This is 387 kilograms more than in the same period in 2022. On average, one cow produces 32 liters of milk daily. And the gross milk yield for January-September 2023 exceeded 18 thousand tons.
