Recently OJSC "Kosino" of the Logoisk region was awarded the Gratitude of the HEAD of state. At the same time, the team received a MTZ 1221.2 tractor as a gift, which the farm immediately began to call the presidential tractor.

By the way, this is the second Gratitude from the Belarusian leader, just like the tractor. But that's not all. A year ago, the enterprise flaunted on the Republican Board of Honor.

Mow, spit, while the dew

The first tractor and Alexander Lukashenko’s Gratitude were received by the farm team based on the results of work for 2019. Both presidential gifts from the first days - in business. They work properly. The steel horses were in safe hands. Behind the wheel of the first one is one of the best machine operators Alexander Vasko. The second was handed over to Oleg Kishkurno, a machine operator with 30 years of experience.

- Oleg Anatolyevich has mastered almost all types of equipment available on the farm, - says Vladimir Lis, chief engineer. - In the spring, he sows, plows, in the summer - at the harvesting of green fodder, transplants to the harvester.

- Good technique! - Oleg Anatolyevich admits, rather clapping his palm on the body of a tractor equipped with a mounted scythe.

The machine operator has already worked for 200 hours on the equipment donated to the residents of Kosin. Today he is going to mow alfalfa. The management of the enterprise aims the team at harvesting the maximum amount of herbs: this winter, green fodder will be worth its weight in gold.

Success is a team

The activity strategy of OAO "Kosino" is based on the competent selection of personnel. The management of the economy has assembled a team of thoughtful, responsible, passionate professionals - the main specialists. All - no more than 40 years. They organize the work of the departments entrusted to them in such a way that their subordinates are motivated to work, as they say, in good conscience, and not out of fear. The result of an honest attitude to business is a decent salary. The average for the enterprise for 2022 is more than 2.1 thousand rubles.

We met Chief Engineer Vladimir Lis during an inspection of the JSC's agricultural equipment fleet, which allows for sowing, processing and harvesting from the fields in the shortest possible time .

Together with the chief agronomist Andrey Britvich, they visited the field where winter wheat was treated with fungicides against diseases.

“We burn during the day, we freeze at night,” Andrey Alexandrovich stated the harsh truth of this spring without rains and the cold beginning of summer, with whom we drove to the field where two machine operators worked: Sergey Grinkevich was engaged in the processing of crops, Dmitry Krantsevich provided his rear in terms of water delivery for chemical treatment.

Yes, feeding five thousand heads of cattle is not an easy task for a zone of risky farming.

A visit to MTF "Kosino" left a wonderful impression: clean, everything is in its place. Cows rest on straw beds, chewing gum. Calves frolic in the sun near the tents, joyfully wagging their tails at the approach of a MILK taxi with fresh fresh milk, which is delivered to them three times a day by calf keeper Natalia Rovda.

“We don’t scold or scare either cows or calves,” notes the chief livestock specialist Irina Kornilovich, who introduces us to the friendly inhabitants of the farm. - And this, along with competent care and proper feeding, which are an important factor in the productivity of animal husbandry.

JSC "Kosino" has its own history of growth. At first, everything was like everyone else: two unprofitable farms were merged into one. However, it was not possible to rise above the problems for a long time, until an investor appeared - the KFH "Tsnyanskiye Ecoproducts". Since 2021, after the implementation of the investment agreement, the state transferred 90% of the shares of Kosino OJSC to Tsnyansky Ecoproducts. The new owner does not withdraw the profit received by the farm: what the collective earns goes to the development of their production.

The agricultural sector of the country is based on such enterprises as OAO "Kosino". Please note: Kosino conducts economic activities on 8% of the agricultural land of the Logoisk region (5.5 thousand hectares). At the same time, its livestock of cattle is only 15% of the district herd. And in a day they milk 20% of what all the farms of the district give together!

The main activity of OJSC "Kosino" is MEAT and dairy cattle breeding, which brings 90% of the proceeds. According to the results of financial activities in 2022, the profitability of animal husbandry here amounted to 40%, and the revenue per employee was 180 thousand rubles.

Milk is the flagship project of JSC "Kosino", having a profitability of under 100%. The total number of cattle is more than 5 thousand animals. Density - 102 heads per 1 ha, including 35 cows.

The company is heading towards increasing the number of dairy herds, the productivity of which is growing. When the investor came, the farm had 1.2 thousand dairy cows. Now their number is 1860. In 2022, the milk yield was 8 thousand tons per cow. All milk is extra class.

At the same time, the success of animal husbandry is not divided in two on the farm. Here they understand the importance of growing beef, which is still unprofitable. Nevertheless, according to the results, the annual profitability of animal husbandry is 40%.

By the way, the pre-sale weight of steers, of which there are 1.3 thousand in the farm, the company is trying to bring them up to the best procurement standards. Here they are grown up to 500 kilos, so that, as a result, the carcass of a bull would be at least 205 kilograms. From such a bar (and higher), the price of beef now is from 10 rubles / kg. If the carcass is from 204 kg (and below), the meat processing plant pays 6 rubles/kg. This is the philosophy of procurement: turn around, farmer, and don’t lower the bar for the bull’s weight!

Investment in innovation

In OAO "Kosino" earned money is spent wisely. The management of the economy relies on innovations that increase its return, work to improve production efficiency. The decision to acquire new technologies and equipment, as a rule, is a collegial one. So, at one time, two types of neck sensors were purchased for dairy cows, fixing their activity - accurately determining the signs of the "hunt" of the animal. On local farms, ultrasound of pregnant animals is carried out. In addition, the farm learned first from a blood test, and now even from milk, to determine whether something went wrong with a cow calf, which means that other decisions need to be made.

The management of the enterprise believes that the farm's lands can feed 2.1 thousand dairy cows. The team is confident that over time this milestone will be reached, and they will also realize their dream - to receive 9 thousand kg of milk from cows a year! And these are only plans for the near future. An important step in the implementation of the plan will be the construction of a new modern ITC.

Today milk from Kosino is a highly competitive product. On the day of our arrival, a milk truck from Turov arrived at the MTF "Kosino"! Milk from cows that eat plenty of green fodder, coming in 100% extra class, is worth it to go halfway across the country for it.
