East Siberian pig farm "Sibagro" completed the construction of the second stage

The new production site consists of two primary processing shops and 8 buildings of reproductive and fattening farms, which are equipped with automated systems for controlling the microclimate, watering and feeding animals. The complex was built from scratch in just two years.

– Today, the East Siberian pig complex "Sibagro" provides Buryatia with 70% of pork, and also supplies products to the Irkutsk region, Transbaikalia, a number of regions of the Far East and Mongolia. Over the years of its presence in the republic - more than 10 years - the enterprise has significantly increased its production capacity, and with the launch of the second stage, we hope it will double it. In addition, the expansion will provide an opportunity to create 160 new jobs, and the total number of employees will be about 700 people, - said the HEAD of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov.

Thanks to the implementation of the project, the company will also increase the volume of exports abroad. Commissioning is currently underway in the rebuilt buildings, and commissioning is scheduled for spring 2023.

- With reaching full production capacity, the number of livestock will increase from 86 thousand to 120 thousand heads, and the total output of pork - from 20.5 to 27.5 thousand tons per year. This will cover the need for high-quality MEAT at an affordable price among residents of the republic and nearby regions, as well as make a significant contribution to Russia's food security. - says the DIRECTOR of the enterprise Yulia Shishkina.

According to Nikolai Zapryagaev, General Director of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the volume of investments in the implementation of the project for the production and primary processing of meat has already exceeded 1.9 billion rubles.
