Voronezh "Agroeco" demands compensation of 4.5 billion from "Rusmit"

it became known that in the Voronezh region the Arbitration COURT received a claim from the local pork producer “Agroeko” against the companies and management representatives of the Rusmit Group of Companies. This information is contained in the court file materials.

The amount of claims is about 4.5 billion rubles. The plaintiffs are the companies Agroeko-Voronezh and Agroeko-Vostok. The defendants are Rusmit, Bobrovsky MEAT Processing Plant, Specialized Farm Kalacheevskoye, Kirill Aleksashin, Evgeny Ustyugov, Lyudmila Bykadorova, Timofey Obukhov, Olga Loseva and Gennady Smyslov.

The essence of the claim has not yet been disclosed; the court left the application without action until June 19 of this year. The regional government , the veterinary department, the prosecutor's office and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision are identified as third parties in the lawsuit .

It was previously reported that last fall both groups of companies suffered heavy losses, which were triggered by an outbreak of African swine fever. Agroeko's losses amounted to about 95 percent of the livestock.
